HOW WE WORK WITH DESIGNERS

Our studio partners with interior designers and architects to create custom plaster wall finishes that are intentional, material-driven, and built to endure. Each project follows a clear, guided process designed to support different stages of design development — from defined finish concepts to exploratory material studies and sampling, ensuring alignment before production and installation.

Our Process

Inquiry & Alignment

Designers submit project details, dimensions, and finish direction. This allows us to understand scope, timeline, and where the project sits in the design process.

Sampling Pathway Assignment

Based on the information provided, we guide each project into the appropriate sampling and development phase — whether that means moving directly into production or beginning with material exploration.

Sampling & Approval

Samples are created to establish color, movement, and finish intent. Sampling may occur before or after proposal depending on project needs.

Proposal & Production

Once direction and scope are approved, a formal proposal is issued outlining pricing, timeline, and installation details.

PREMIUM PAID SAMPLE PHASE PACKAGE

Some projects benefit from time and space to fully explore material direction before moving into pricing

and production. For these projects, we offer a dedicated Material Study & Sample Development phase.

This phase is intended for designers who are refining finish direction, exploring variations, or preparing materials for client review. It allows the surface to be developed with intention, so that scope, pricing, and timelines can be established with clarity and confidence.

During this phase, we may create exploratory plaster samples and refine them through a single round of adjustment, while providing guidance on finish behavior, sheen, movement, and application considerations. The goal is alignment — not only on appearance, but on how the finish will live in the space.

By resolving material direction upfront, this process supports:

  • Confident client approvals

  • A clearly defined scope of work

  • Accurate pricing and realistic lead times

The Material Study phase is billed separately and is required when finish direction is open or exploratory. Sampling fees reflect design labor, material testing, and studio time, and are not applied toward installation unless explicitly outlined in writing.
